The film... finally!

Hello,
So we were planning to do some work on the film after film day and get it looking better, but with going straight into work we didn't really find the time. So... with only slight alterations we have decided to call it finished. We were already reluctant to let it go with all its flaws and are becoming more and more critical of imagery as the weeks roll on. So lets just accept that its a student film and let it live as what it is... a student film!! phew!

First step in compositing..

Finally starting the compositing stage! Just putting it together before we decide on the grade.

In the painting

Here is a test of how the artist might look within the painted world. We are still working on the final look of the world.

Some test renders

Finaly a few test imges of the environment renders. The lighting has not been applied correctly yet and there are bits of geometry which still need to be textured or replaced. The compositing/grading has not been done yet so realy this is just a basic idea of what is to come.
We are feeling really happy with the way things are going. The painting environment is now under way.

Images which shoud not yet be judged!

We have just put most of our large assets into the scene. The texturing s still not completed and the textures you can see all need a lot of tweaking.
Also, obviously the lighting has not yet been done. We were not really ready to show these images but we have an art direction meeting so this makes it easier! The bare areas in the scene will not be seen in the film. There is still a lot to do.
